dashica big sdp-p and color club - cherubic

1 coat of cult nails - nevermore was used as my base color and i used color club cherubic to stamp.  1 coat of seche vite over the whole thing.

the image was from the dashica big sdp-p plate.  i seriously love the images on their plates.

this was my manicure for last work weekend.  it seriously glowed in the sun when i was outside.

drk-b stamping and china glaze gradient

the drk-b plate was purchased from ninjapolish.com  i did a sponged gradient with china glaze - mimosas before manis and snap my dragon.  the black used to stamp with is cult nails - nevermore.

the gradient was kind of hard to capture on camera.  it definitely was there though  :P

the smudging that happened on this one was my fault, i didn't wait long enough to add seche vite.  the image stamped perfectly.

butter london water marble

just going to do a few quick posts today of manicures i've had on my camera for this month.

this one was with all butter london's and cult nails - nevermore. opi - my vampire is buff was used as the base color.

the butter london polishes spread almost perfectly on the water.  if i ever redo this combo i'll do it with less black.  it kinda overtook everything more than what i was hoping.

again, no great cleanup, my lazy ass hasn't gotten out to get a new cleanup brush yet :(

nail nation 3000 - pink-tastic and stamping drk-c

first off...lucy says haiiii!

she's my princess
for this manicure i used 1 coat of cult nails - nevermore and stamped using nail nation 3000 - pink-tastic.  1 coat of seche vite.   the image used was from the drk-c plate.  i'm seriously loving stamping, i might need to take a break from glitter and just do a bunch of stamping now that i have a few good plates.

i still don't have a cleanup brush, so excuse any random polish that is at a place where it should have been cleaned up lol

ninja polish - pacific coral and drk-a stamping

very quick post.  the base color used for this was pacific coral by ninja polish.  the stamping plate was also purchased from them.  their site is here.

the black i used to stamp was cult nails nevermore.  1 coat of seche vite was used for my topcoat.

i just stamped random images from this plate and i'm happy with how it turned out.  every image picked up with no issue and transferred fine.

i do need to get a new cleanup brush, the bristles on the one i have now are going bad, so cleanup for this was done with a qtip, sorry that it's not the best cleanup.

enchanted polish - castle comparison

this is going to be an extremely picture heavy post.  these polishes have so much going on with each of them and i tried to capture them in different light, different flash,  no flash,  etc.  the only thing i couldn't do was the florescent light in the kitchen.  luck would have it that both lights burnt out when i turned on the switch this morning.  here's hoping maintenance can switch them out soon enough today.

anyhow, here's a comparison between castle on a cloud and ice castle.  both colors are 1 thin coat over cult nails - nevermore and a coat of seche on top.

though they look similar in certain light, they are completely different when side by side.  please scroll through all of these pictures to see what i was able to capture.

pinky and ring fingers are castle on a cloud, middle and pointer fingers are ice castle.

enchanted polish - castle on a cloud

this was purchased from enchanted's site at http://enchantedpolish.bigcartel.com.  i don't even know where to begin with describing this...it's holo, it's glass fleck, it shifts color depending on the light.  it's amazing in person.

i layered 2 coats of castle on a cloud over 1 coat of cult nails - nevermore.  1 coat of seche vite.

it is seriously impossible to photograph how this polish changes when worn, pic heavy post ahead....

shift happens gradient

fast post tonight...it's a work night and i'm tired.  i really wanted to show this though.

my inspiration is from here, i fell in love as soon as i saw it and knew i wanted to wear it.

i didn't use a white for my base, i used contrary polish - somebody loved as my base, this is a light pink/lavender with shimmer.  i then sponged cult nails - nevermore and added 2 coats of girly bits - shift happens.

i want to do this again with other light bases.

i do have a few other sets of pictures on my camera, just haven't felt like sitting down to upload pics, but i'll get them online soon.

there is tipwear from work, but this still looks gorgeous in person.

the first 2 are without flash, last 4 are with flash.  again, sorry for the wear, i took these tonight when i got home from work since the sun was on my side of the building.

NFU JS 37 and NFU 57 - fail

so this is kinda fail...i planned on a gradient, but haven't done one in ages and obviously went too low with the black.   i will definitely redo this one soon and watch what i'm doing with nevermore lol.

i used 2 coats of NFU JS 37, 2 coats of nevermore sponged on, and  1 coat of NFU 57. 1 coat of poshe was used for my topcoat.

might redo it for my next manicure actually now that i'm looking at these pictures.  the JS 37 looks really cool where the black fades into it.

i can tell already from my last set of pictures that the nail oil i've been using is already making a difference.

the amount of copper that shows through in 57 on black is really impressive, you don't see that much of it in the polish.

layla - the butterfly effect

this is 2 coats of the butterfly effect over 1 coat of cult nails - nevermore.  1 coat of poshe topcoat.

i probably could have done 3 coats of this on it's own, but i like it over black.

please ignore the cuticle on my pinky...my hands have been so dry.  i actually just bought the stuff today to  make my own nail oil, so we'll see how that turns out.  it came out to about the same as a huge bottle of solar oil, but you can make like 3 times as much.

anyhow, on to the pictures:

ozotic - 910 scatter chrome

first off...coffee.

had that while doing my manicure today.

so this is an extremely picture heavy post.

this ozotic was purchased from llarowe.  i used 1 coat of cult nails nevermore, 1 coat of 910 and a poshe as my topcoat.

speaking of nevermore, i mention that i use it as a base for a lot of the manicures that i do, but i don't think i've shown it on its own.   it's the perfect 1 coat black.

no topcoat in the following:

now with 1 coat of 910

ozotics have been my weakness for ages and this one is no exception.  it is gorgeous in person, almost impossible to capture all of the color shifts.

nail nation 3000 - fierce #5

this is 1 coat of fierce #5 over cult nails - nevermore and 1  coat of seche vite.

i received a mini bottle of this with my first purchase of nail nation 3000 polishes.  it's really pretty in person, like her other polishes it does change depending on the lighting, some of the purple isn't as pronounced  in some light.  my only wish is that it were a darker red.  layering it did seem to darken it a bit, but i love dark, dark reds.

blah, looks like i missed some black near my cuticles with cleanup.  oh well, it happens ;)

halloweenish marble

so, cleanup on this was a bitch.  i ran out of tape, but still decided to just go for it, so excuse around my cuticles.  they got flooded when i did the actual marble.

i used orly 'decades of dysfunction' as my base, then marbled with cult nails 'nevermore' and 'deal with it' along with china glaze 'roguish red', which is definitely an orange and not so red.

ninja polish - spooky floam over nevermore

very fast post tonight.  was only able to get 1 photo snapped off before my battery in the camera almost died.

this was purchased from ninja polish.  it's part of their halloween collection.  i did also pick up geeks which is a green glitter.  unfortunately the other 2 in the collection weren't really talkin' to me.

i used 1 coat of cult nails nevermore, 2 coats of spooky floam and 2 coats of seche vite.

i have the original floam as well as some other matte glitters purchased from etsy.  i love how they look, but have yet to get through them all.

this polish also does glow in the dark.

when i re-do this manicure with just spooky floam by itself tomorrow i'll try to get a picture of it glowing.

also, this is the first picture cropped through flickr.  i think it does look better cropped without so much dead background.

cult nails water marble

for this i used all cult nails products.  the purple is my kind of cool aid, the black is nevermore, and the goldish shimmer is baker.

these spread really well on the water, though my water wasn't quite room temp, so next time i do this i'll be sure to leave it sit out a lot longer.  the amount of shimmer in these that spread out over the water while dropping colors in is crazy.  it looked really cool.

nevermore is perfect for doing water marbles.  other blacks that i have used tend to really fade out.  that wasn't the case with nevermore.

really really happy with how these turned out.

ugh, angry cuticles :(  and trying to take a picture of your right hand is pretty akward...
