dashica big sdp v

1 coat of china glaze - son of a peach used for the base color.  i then sponged with opi - can you dig it? and son of a peach.  nailnation 3000 - black was used for stamping.  this one worked really well, i'd say probably even better than cult nails - nevermore, which is what i'd stamp with previously.  the consistency seemed better.

the opi is one that i bought when i was in high school.  guess that goes to show how long polish can stay good ;)

this one was so pretty in person.  i need to do another stamped gradient soon.

reciprocal gradient

next time i do this i will try it with 3 stripes instead of 2.  i love this manicure, have had it on since last thursday, and i just took pictures of it now.

for instructions on how to do this, here's a video from my simple little pleasures
.  i watch so many of her videos to get ideas for water marbles also.

could have done a better cleanup, after looking at these pictures i see that now.  it looks much cleaner around the cuticles in person for some reason.  oh well.

butter london water marble

just going to do a few quick posts today of manicures i've had on my camera for this month.

this one was with all butter london's and cult nails - nevermore. opi - my vampire is buff was used as the base color.

the butter london polishes spread almost perfectly on the water.  if i ever redo this combo i'll do it with less black.  it kinda overtook everything more than what i was hoping.

again, no great cleanup, my lazy ass hasn't gotten out to get a new cleanup brush yet :(

opi - window lavender

i've had this on for a few days, so excuse any tipwear in the photos.

i used opi uh-oh roll down the window as my base, picked this up at ulta, it was on clearance.  i'm not sure which collection it was from.

1 coat of pink yet lavender was then added.  this is from the mariah carey collection they just released.  not a fan of her music but, that doesn't matter, i liked the color :P

1 coat of gelous and a coat of poshe were used for my topcoats.

blaaah, nubbins.  going to not let them grow out as long as they were in my last blog post.  it seems like they break when they get around that length.

hits - unconventional

this was purchased from llarowe.  this color shift in this one is really really strong.  i absolutely love it.

i used cult nails - nevermore as my base, 2 coats of unconventional, 1 coat of poshe.  after a few days i went back and added opi - man with the golden gun over the top.

i couldn't get a great bottle shot of unconventional, my flash kept turning it dark purple.

indulgence water marble

this watermarble was done last night over this manicure.  i used opi ds - indulgence and fingerpaints - black expressionism.

i really should start doing more marbles again.  i love how they turn out and my nails are finally long enough again to do them on.

opi - ds indulgence

i picked this up at ulta yesterday.  ran in to get a new bottle of  topcoat and saw that they actually had these.  this was the last indulgence, there were 2 luxurious left.

this is 2 coats of indulgence with 1 coat of poshe topcoat.  loving poshe.  it's much more shiny than seche vite and there's no shrinking like you will sometimes get with seche.

i love all of the ds polishes, but this one might be in my top 3.

you do see more of the gold colored flecks in person, my camera didn't want to pick them up.

nail nation 3000 - sock monkey #51

i chose to layer this one just in case it wouldn't cover on it's own.  the base i used was really light and looked more like a french manicure than anything else, i used opi's care to danse? so this one would have been fine with 2 coats by itself.

this is 2 coats of sock monkey with 1 coat of seche vite.    i love how light this is...its been a while since i've worn anything really light and non-holo.  maria's description on her facebook photo for this polish is:

SOCK MONKEYYYY!!!! # 51

A creamy base of sock monkey colors!!! Great layers of awesome sock monkey-ness!!!! Get your sock monkey on !!!

i think next time i won't bother layering it over anything.  still loving it how it turned out though.

nail nation 3000 - shine on me 23k #100

for my base on this i used 2 coats of opi - every month is oktoberfest.

1 coat of shine on me with a coat of gelous and a coat of seche vite.  no application issues at all with this one.

this gold top coat is so pretty.  i almost wish now that i would have passed on the opi one from the skyfall collection.  this one has tiny glitter in it, where the opi one doesn't.

i love how this turned out.  didn't clean it up yet, i just want to get to sleep after the huge dinner we had at my parents' tonight.

enchanted polish - practice safe hex

here's another falloween collection glitter.  i used opi's you don't know jacques as my base, 1 coat of practice safe hex, 1 coat of glitter food, 1  coat of gelous, and one coat of seche vite.

i''m also trying the glue method for removing glitter polish.  you apply a coat of white glue, like elmer's school glue, let it dry completely, then continue with your manicure as normal.  the first time i tried this i didn't let the glue dry long enough.  i gave it 10 minutes.   it peeled up the next day while at work.  gotta say i love how easy it came off as opposed to doing the foil method for 10 minutes per hand.   this time around i let the glue dry for 30 minutes, applied my usual "get it on" basecoat then went on to the rest of the colors.  this is day 2 with no peeling.  i was also very careful to not get it anywhere near my cuticles or the edges of my nails as it seems like that would make it peel up faster.   when you're ready to change polishes all you do is take an orange stick and gently push at the edge near your cuticle.  everything should come up in one sheet.  when i took off my first manicure using this there was nothing wrong with my nail.

when i first started this i was worried that it would come off while washing dishes, taking a shower, using lotion, etc, but there's been no issues this time around.  this isn't something i'd use on every manicure, but when i wear glitter this is definitely how i'm going to do it.  the foil method of removal is so drying, but it's really the only other way to get glitters totally off without scrubbing for minutes per nail.

has anyone else used this?  a friend on facebook had suggested it and thank her so much for it!

anyhow, here's pics of practice safe hex.  this one is my 2nd favorite out of the falloween collection by enchanted polish.  these were purchased from llarowe.  love love love this polish.  hell, this whole collection is just awesome.

pahlish typewriter keys

this is over opi 'don't talk bach to me' from their new 'germany' collection.  typewriter keys was purchased from llarowe.
